Even though I have been living in NYC for all my life, the city never stops to amaze me. The tall buildings mixed in with the setting sun makes for some really interesting cityscapes. After work I went to meet up with my cousin and we talked about planning for my wedding. The more I think about it, the more overwhelming it gets! I still have over a year but still, its better to prepare earlier.
Today I went to dinner with my boyfriend at Capital Grille.. where he surprised me with a ring =). Today was the start towards the rest of my life with him and I’m very happy =) After the dinner we went to watch Wicked. It was one of the best shows I have seen on Broadway. The use of the stage and the songs were very good and the entire time I was really into the story. Even though it was a little different than the book, it was still very good.

Every year we eat dinner everyday together as a family for the first three days, the last two posts were already food so instead I decided to post a picture of a decoration that we hang for the duration of the holiday.
You might think that these pictures are the same but actually they are from another dinner! Every year we spend the first day of the new year at my uncles house where we also feast until we are bloated
Today we started our Chinese New Year celebrations which will last for about 2 weeks. Every year we spend this day together as a family and cook a large meal for everyone to share. This year my mom made 8+dishes and I helped cook some of them. In my family, Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday that we celebrate. To us it is more important that Thanksgiving or Christmas. There is a lot of family tradition that goes into it and I enjoy doing all of it.
